Christmas chirashi sushi and inarizushi

For a potluck party

I made a super easy cake for a potluck party two nights ago. Since I am not a good baker, I bought a cheap sponge cake and whipped cream and some ornaments. I just decorated the cake with them. It took about only ten minutes.

The plastic case is collapsible which is good to carry it after eating foods.


This is a makeshift Furoshiki, or a wrapping cloth which I made that night. I didn't have a big enough fabric, so I pieced together with the two fabrics. It turned out cute.

These are also super-easy mini cakes.

I bought a box of Rotte mini-sized Choco-pie , another company's mimi-sized ones, and some edible ornaments. I just decorated them. They tured out cute!

These are cup sushi which I made the other day.

I made sushi rice with Mitsukan Sushsii, or pink colored sushi mix powder.

Cook book with a mini gas burner and the two cocottes

The other day I saw this cooking book for making cream brulees at a book store. It contains a mini gas burner and two ceramic cocottes. I really wanted to get the gas-burner, but was not interesed in the recipes in the book. Therefore, I didn't buy it that day. Afew days later, I again went to the same book store. Then, I found another cook book which contained a silicone doughut mould. I wanted to buy both, but I already had some silicone doughut mould, so I bought the cook book of cream brulees. Arrrrrg! I love collecting cooking gadgets, but I rarely use them.....

Apple butter

I have never heard about apple butter until a few days ago. I looked up some recipes for it. The next day, I bought some apples and a small bottle of apple cider. Before I cooked it, I had realized that it would take lots of time to make it. I thought that apple butter had high calories, so I just ate some. However, I will try to make it at least once.

I bought this tiny cranberry plant last year. It flowered a lot during the summer, so I expected that I could get lots of berries.However I got a few!I wanted to make cranberry sauce like westerners, but ....

My mother growing some grapes. The grape vines didn't produce lots of grapes this year, but we enjoy eating fresh ones.

This pink rose was this year's last rose in our garden. I took this picture after the rain. The rain drops were shining that morning.We had first frost last week, so it became brownish.

So, I took a few of animals there.It was a beautiful weather. I had lots of good shutter chances....I should've take my camera. I took this picture with my cell-phone. It's not good!
