I took buckwheat noodle making class yesterday. I missed the class for two times, because I had to work. It was my second time to make soba, or buckwheat noodles. We learned kaeshi, or soba soup mix that day. The soba soup was delicious, so I want to make soba soup from scratch. I usually buy mentsuyu, and use it instead of soy souce. I made tempura soba for lunch, and made kashiwa soba, or chicken soba for dinner.They were both good!.

I bought this book the other day. This book contains a rolling pin and a raviole mould(?). I really love to collect cheap cooking gadgets, but rarely use them. Hahaha! I should use them very often!! I just enjoy reading the recipes so far.

Apple butter

I have never heard about apple butter until a few days ago. I looked up some recipes for it. The next day, I bought some apples and a small bottle of apple cider. Before I cooked it, I had realized that it would take lots of time to make it. I thought that apple butter had high calories, so I just ate some. However, I will try to make it at least once.

I just wanted to make some crunchy fish and chips

A few weeks ago I had so delicious crunchy homemade fish and chips at a house. Also, coleslaw salad was really good. I shoud've asked for the recipes. Anyway, I looked for some recipes on the Internet. I realized that I had to buy black beer such as Guinness. I couldn't find it, so I bought Yebis black beer. I thought the batter might be bitter, but it wasn't!It was tastier than I had expected. I will try to make more crunchy next time.

That day, I didn't try to make coleslaw salad. I made some last night with QP coleslaw dressing.Haha, it was OK.

Pita bread

Since I live in a small town in a rural area, I can't buy pita bread. Therefore, I made some homemade pita bread. All of the shapes were strange,

but they have pockets(caves?).When I made them, it was raining. I wanted to sand some fresh lettuce, cucumbers, cheery tomatoes and chicken or bacon, but I put some chilli con carne instead. It's because I had some frozen chilli con carne which my sister gave. It was good.

Homemade Rasberry Jam

Our rasberry trees produce lots of berries each year, and we have got lots this year as well. we can't eat all of fresh berries, so we made some resberry jams.

Artichoke

This is my second year to grow artichoke. This plant produced no buds last year, but this year it has produced several buds already. I hope we can eat some this year! I had never eaten artichokes before. When I went shopping to next city the other day, I found many foreign foods at a supermarket. I was so excited to see them, BUT I forgot to take my wallet, neither a credit card.I found some bottled artichoke pickles there.I am looking for recipes for artichokes now.
