Watermelon

This melon was grown by my mother's friend. It was juicy and tasty.

chicken pot pie

Since we had some chicken and frozen pie sheet, I made these chicken pot pies.
It was my first time to make chicken pies, but they were good!Next time I will cut the pie sheet with round cookie cutter. I think it should be better.

Balsamic vinegar

I rarely use Balsamic vinegar,but this time I made balsamic sauce with sugar. It was not so bad. Also, I ate vanilla ice cream with it. I couldn't imagine to make sweets with balsamic vineger, but it was not so bad. I will try to make some other sweets with it.

Pumpkin gratin

We grew pumpkins this year, and got several. Also, my aunt gave us some pumpkins the other day. Therefore, we cook ed some pumpkin dishes. This is a pumpkin gratin which I made. I used sliced chedder cheese, that's why most ingredients looks yellow. That was so tasty.

Banana cake

It's been SOOOOO hot and muggy even in Hokkaido. Since I am NOT a good baker, I haven't bake anything for a long time. We have lots of ripe bananas , so I made this banana cake tonight. It's a little crazy that I baked this on such a hot day. I haven't tasted this yet, I hope it's delicious.

Ingredients

Pancake mix ....1oog

wholewheat flour ...20g

olive oil....50cc

egg ....2

milk...50cc

ripe banana ...2

sugar....40g

brandy ...to taste

Yokote style yakisoba, or fried noodle

Osechi ryouri

We eat Osechi ryouri during the new year.

I love cookie cutters.

I cut the sliced cheese and the bread with some cookie cutters.

Pickled beets & Daikon

The next day, the Daikon's colour became darker. Pink pink pink.
