The Karate Kid

The Karate kid's Japanese title is "Best kid",its Chinese title is "功夫小子", and American original title is The Karate kid.
The previous series were Karate movies, but this time it was Khufu movie.... I don't care about the title, though.
I decorated some cookies with chocolate pens and some other foods.
I wrote "加油”which is my favorite Chinese word ,on a cookie.
I could hear this word in the scene of the final tournament.

When I was younger I practiced a martial arts. Funny thing was that I wasn't interested in it at all. One of my friends wanted me to practice it with her, so I reluctantly started to practice it. I didn't to like to fight or compete with other people, but loved to sweat after exercising.
Since then I took to watch martial arts movies and action ones.

Jaden Smith was so flexible and cute! The actress who acted as his mother's smiling face was so gorgeous! The girl who played violin, was also cute!

Pretty in Pink ( rental DVD)

When I ask a rental video shop staff told if they had a rental DVD of "Pretty in Pink", she told me they didn't have one. I really wanted to the movie, so I bought a super cheap second-hand video of "Pretty in Pink" from Amazon.jp. After I had bought it, I found a rental DVD where I asked for it. The second- hand video's picture was sot clear, so I rented the DVD.
As I expected, the DVD's picture was more beautiful than the one of the video.

Since we had some chicken and frozen pie sheet, I made these chicken pot pies.
It was my first time to make chicken pies, but they were good!Next time I will cut the pie sheet with round cookie cutter. I think it should be better.

Balsamic vinegar

I rarely use Balsamic vinegar,but this time I made balsamic sauce with sugar. It was not so bad. Also, I ate vanilla ice cream with it. I couldn't imagine to make sweets with balsamic vineger, but it was not so bad. I will try to make some other sweets with it.

I bought this second-hand video tape from Amazon.co.jp. I will watch it tonight.


This is a Japanese seasonal snack.There are two types of flavored cookies in the box.One is Sakura, or cherry blossom flaver, and the other one is daifuku mochi flaver.

The Karete Kid

I am sooo cheap that I rarely rent a new released rental DVD. However, I really want to rent a DVD of "The Karate kid". I went to two rental video shops today, but all of the DVD of "The Karate Kid" were already rented! I want to see it soon.

Nanakusa-gayu, or seven herbs porridge

On the Jan.7th. many poeple go to temples to cerebrate(?)for nanakuga-gayu??
This is a bento which my mother got from a temple. The red rice is made with sticky rice and Azuki-beans.


On Jan. 7th. we usually buy fresh 7 herbs, but this time we bought an instant nanakusa furikake, instead.


These are tsukemono, or Japanese pickles which my mother made.

Fabric lavel + draw string bag

I found a my homemade cookie iron printed fabric draw string bag which I had made some years ago,in a closet. I don't know why I had never used it before. Suddenly, I wanted to add a fabric level which my sister ordered and gave me last year.It turned out to be ???
Next time, I want to make more stylish things.

Fake or Real?

I bought a Vanity Fair from　Amazon the other day. This is my first time to buy Vanity Fair. I think Johnny Depp changes in each movies. I wonder whether these tattoos of Depp's in this magazine's front cover, real or fake?

Five CDs which I rented yesterday

When I went to a rental video shop to rent a DVD yesterday, I spotted a rental CD's pop ,which said 5 for 1000yen( it's about 10 bucks). I usually rent 1 or 2 DVDs or CDs, because I can't watch or listen to them.

I have already coppied some of them.LOL

1:Since I saw an Japanese cell-phone company's Lady Gaga TV ads, I have been crazy about her songs. First I mistook her voice for Madonnna's, but I was wrong. Next time, I will rent "Poker Face".
2: I think Lady Gaga is similar to Madonnna, so I rented a Madonna's CD.
3: Although I have been slow down to watch Korean drama series, I was really into watching " You're beautiful"(a good looking guy?). One of male cast member who is a member of a Korean boy band, called "FT Island". I love his character in the drama and his voice, so I rented two CDs of "FT Island. One was imported, and the other one was Japanese one. The imperted one was really good , but Japanese one was so-so.
Korean girl group singers , called "Girls generation"' CD was not my taste.....
