冬至(Toji) The winter solstice

Today is the winter solstice day. We eat pumpkin red bean sweet soup, and take yuzu citron bath on this day. The bath smells sooo good, and relaxs me a lot.

Pavlova

Last night I made a pavlova. It was my first time to make it. It didn't become crispy, and became brownish.Sigh! However, it was not bad. I will try to make it again. Ummm, should I find another recipe????

The melange was OK.

This evening I made this Paella. It was my first time to make it, but it was very GOOD!I will make it again.

I rarely buy Japanese eye shadows and eye-liner pencils, but I bought these cosmetics lately. One of the reasons is that one was on sale and the other one was also cheap. OMG, there are lots of my fingerprints on the cover.Wow, it's disgusting!

Karaoke

Since I am tone-deaf, I don't like singing Karaoke much. A couple of days ago, two of my friends and I went to a Karaoke booth. Then, we found many Chinese songs, Taiwanese ones, English ones and Korean ones. I found three Korean songs of "Boys over flowers" with Japanese furugana. Therefore, I tried to sing it. Of course, it was terrible, but it's OK. One sang only Japanese songs, and ther one sang many songs. I also tried Taiwanese F4's song, I couldn't sing well, but I will try again. LOL

Wet heavy snow

It was an Indian summer a couple of days ago. It started to snow last night, and our garden became like this. I think the snow soon will melt away.

Flour Tortilla

I wanted to eat Burritos or Fajitas, but I can't buy flour tortillas. So, I looked for some flour tortilla recipes, and made some. They were a little hard. Today, I made more flour tortillas. This time I added a little more water. Still they were chewy. Ummmm. Anyway, I made chili beans and ate it with my homemade flour tortillas.

Koharu-biyori means "Indian summer" in Japanese. My literal translation is littel spring day.LOL. It was very mild today.It's an Indian summer. I hope this weather will continue more.

This is a Fuji TV drama which is aired at Mon. 9:00 pm. Starring, Syun Oburi, Hiro Mizushima and Yuriko Yoshimura. This is a suspense comedy. Whenever I watch this drama, I laugh a lot!

The weather report was right! It started to snow tonight! I had changed tires this evening, I didn't expect to have snow though. Yay!

These are orange Bochan kabocha, or orange nugets pumpkins which my mother grew. It is our first time to grow and see them. I want to make tiny pudding with them.

The season of Halloween

Halloween is getting more popular in Japan. I have some Halloween ornaments, but I am very lazy to put them away. So, I won't decorate them this year.

The weather report had said, " We might have frost tomorrow morning" for about a week or so. Luckily, it was wrong. This morning we had frost , so it was very cold. However, it was very mild during the day . Sigh! This picture is so bad.
