It's been so hot and humid for the past a couple of days, and suddenly it started to thunder and lightning flashed so many times. Even some crows were scared (?),and crawed a lot. Now, I feel cooler due to the rain.

Fake Jalapeno corn muffin

Yah! These muffins turned out good!!!

I wanted to make some Jalapeno corn bread(or muffins), but I can't get Jalapenos in my town. Therefore,I substituted some fresh Japanese(?) chlli peppers for Jalapenos which my mother is growing. I used a plain muffin pan and this tree shaped one.
I can't get Jack cheese in my town, so I put some red bell pepper with shredded cheese in the batter.

Since there is no Starbucks coffee shop in my town, actually in my district, I went to a convenience store to buy some Starbucks coffee today. Then, I found this New York Skinny Latte. The lavel says ,"No sugar, low fat, and 40% fat cut"(?reduced?). Is this a Japanese original one, or do they have same ones in the US?

American dogs, or corn dogs

Today, I made some corn dogs. I serched for some corn dog recipes, but I used some corn meal and pan cake mix for batter. It's because I am lazy. It was my first time to use corn meal to make batter. They turned out crunchy!Therefore, I want to use some corn meal when I make Tempura next time.

Potato chips and Tuna burger

I didn't know there were potato chips sandwiches in the US until a few days ago. Therefore, I made this potato chips and tuna burger today. Unexoectedly, it was crispy and yummy. Yay!I used this sesami bun, becasuse it was on sale.

This is a Japanese English. I don't know who created this word. In Japan, American coffee means "weak coffee". Do most American people like weak coffee? I don't think so. I think that there are so many varietions of coffee in the US, so they can't pick out stereo typical ones. Am I right???

Double petaled cherry blossoms

Our cherry blossoms are late- blooming ones. The top parts were died during the winter, but a few twigs are still alive. We didn't have much rain a few weeks ago, and everything looked like withered. Now,everything looks glittering due to the rain drops. I wonder when most cherry blossoms bloom in the US? Ummmm, it is the large country, so it depedns on places. Am I right?

It was like a drought.
