I bought about 1ooyen(1 dollar) rolled cake, and decorated it with whipped cream and some ornaments.

１１月に北海道で－２０℃を記録したのは２０年ぶりだそうです。It is said that it has been about 20 years since it recorded -20 C in November in Hokkaido last time.(I can't translate this nicely. Anyway, this morning was freezing outside!)

My favorite Christmas illumination in my town 2003
A house wife decorates this house each year, many people enjoy watching this house's illumination, and she enjoys lots of people come and see this. I wonder how she will decorate Christmas lights this year?

Blizzard in 2004
Can you see the snow through the windows? It was brutal, and it was called "Bakudan teikiatsu" in Japanese. Bakudan means bomb, and teikiatsu means low pressure. It clould happen once in a century.(I am not sure you can understand my English.) Everybody was stuck at home that day.
The pumpkin puddings which I made today
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in the US, so I looked for some Thanksgiving dinner recipes. Most of the recipes made my mouth water. Some years ago, I bought a cheap tiny cranberry plant, which was only 498yen( It's about 5 dollars). It didn't grow well, and I only got 3 berries from the plant. During the winter, I didn't protect it for the cold. Therefore,it I died! I have never seen any fresh cranberries in my town. I can buy dried ones. I don't think I can buy turky in my town.....We only have pumpkins at our home, so I made some tiny pumpkin puddings. I wanted to go shopping to buy some walnuts for topping, but I didn't.... Anyway, they turned out good.

Pilgrims found a small, sour, red berry, which they called "cranberry" because is drooping, arched blossoms reminded them of the long neck and head of the crane, a well-known bird in Europe. The word cranberry comes from a partial translation of Low German, "Kraanbere."

Remembrance Day in Canada, and Pocky Day in Japan. The Japanese company called Glico created in heisei 11(9 years ago), Nov.11th. due to their shapes. I think not many people know about Pocky Day.

Entrance examination in Korea
TV news showed about yesterday's entrance exmanition in Korea. Surprisingly, some parol cars and plice motorcycles take exmaniees to the places where the exams are held EACH YEAR! It's because that the exam is very important for high schoolers' future. I can't explain nicely. Sigh!!!!!

The day before yesterday while browsing a web site, I saw a Chinese soy milk pudding . I haven't eaten it in ages. I have never made it, so I serched for some recipes. I made this tonight.
I have just made one cushion cover
Since it is not easy to use the fleece for me, I won't buy any fleece any more. I love cottons very much to sew, because it is very easy to use.

When I saw this fabric, I thought about a person. That day I did not buy this fleece, but I bought it today. I want to make cushion covers. I hope they will be warm and cozy.Japanese taste spagetti
I made this spagetti two days ago. Since our neihgbor gave us some fresh shiitake which her husband grew, I made this shiitake bacon spagetti. I seasoned with Nagatanien osuimono mix, or clear soup mix. It was yummy.My mother worries about food piosoning(?chemical) about Chinese foods. She couldn't find Japanese dried red chili peppers, so she made some for the first time. I used some.
How do you sayまかない料理(makanai ryouri) in English?.....make-shift meal?(my literal translation)

My mother covered some plants with the straw mats , called komo, to protect for cold during the winter. I should have helped her out, but I did not. It was because I am very lazy!!!

muffin + whipped cream
I made these muffin chrstmas cakes in 2004. I bought the muffins, a whipped cream , and some ornaments. Then, I just decorated the muffins. It took me only 5 minitues or so. LOL. I think even kids can make.

christmas cake 2004
