We call thisles " Azami" , and artichokes "Chosen Azami",or just" artichoke" in Japanese.
This artichoke flowerhead is becoming like a thistle's one. I cooked its bud just once. It tasted like edible lily bulbs. Then, I had decided to look rest of the flowers growing. One day , I found these purple petals coming out.It turned out cute.
